I have been with my owners (such a degrading term) for nearing on 2 weeks. They are nice enough folk I suppose, all seem to have a strange ailment which takes over their voices when they address me; they squeak and coo. Sounds almost infantile.
Anyway, I have been through the most dramatic ordeals since cohabiting with these people. Last weekend the one who refers to herself as my 'Mommy' put me into a plastic box with a metal door. She then proceeded to put me on her lap in something they refer to as a car. Well I wasn't at all pleased with this situation and decided to voice my concerns to which she stuck her hand into the box and began to slowly stroke my head. Well this was pleasing so I ceased my complaint and swiftly fell asleep. When I awoke I was in a strange house surrounded by tiny humans, each of which tried to stroke my fur and take my toys. I kept my composure and allowed the tiny humans to bask in my presence.
After spending all weekend with these tiny people, I was relieved to return home.
Tuesday, I was, again, put into the plastic box and into a car. This time the journey was not as long but still unsettling. I was taken into a big building and carried up a flight of stairs. There were a few humans there who also seemed to have fallen ill with the vocal ailment. I was then taken into a small room and placed on a table. A very nice human came in and gave me quite a lot of fuss. I warmed to him straight away. As I learnt that day, looks can be deceiving. As this man that I had so readily befriended stuck a large needle into the back of my neck! Luckily 'Mommy' was there to comfort and console me otherwise I fear that I may have cried a lot more.
The humans shout a lot (probably down to the vocal illness) and I have noticed that it is usually when I am sharpening my teeth. I have put this down to coincidence.
I have my own boudoir which is small but adequate for now.
I have plans to soon take over the couch once big enough.
And after I have achieved this the rest of the house is next
As you can see I have already begun.
